Richmond Tigers to make top eight in AFL 2013 season

Richmond fans can finally start using the ‘F word’ and Collingwood have blown their chances of a top 4 finish.

That’s the wash up of round 17 according to the betting markets by online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au, with Richmond now $1.01 to play finals and Collingwood drifting out from $3.75 to $26 to make the top 4.

Despite suffering a surprise loss at the hands of Gold Coast, Collingwood still look a good chance to make the finals at $1.14.

However its virtually a toss of the coin as to who will claim the final spot in the eight out of Carlton ($1.90) and Port Adelaide ($2.00).

“The Tigers are now $1.01 to make the finals, surely even they can’t blow it from here!” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

“Collingwood’s loss to Gold Coast has all but ruined their top 4 chances, but at $1.14 they can still expect to see some September action, with Carlton and Port Adelaide tipped to fight it out for the final spot,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

In round 18 betting, the Hawks are priced at $1.36 to win the big Friday night clash against Essendon ($2.95), with the Hawks firming further from $3.25 to $3.00 to win the flag.

Josh Kennedy remains the $2.50 favourite to win the Coleman Medal, with Gold Coast superstar Gary Ablett has firmed to his shortest price yet of $1.50 to win the Brownlow.
