Carlos Tevez has finally apologised to Manchester City following a five-month feud and withdrawn his appeal against a gross misconduct charge.
Tevez’s statement, released by City, paves the way for him to return to action for the Premier League leaders for the first time since September when he refused to warm up during a Champions League match.
Tevez said: “I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions over the last few months have caused offence.”
The Argentina striker stressed that his “wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City.”
The 28-year-old Tevez returned to City from Buenos Aires after a three-month unauthorised absence at home.
