Adam Scott, known as one of the sporting world’s most desirable men, is officially off the market after marrying long-time girlfriend Marie Kojzar.
The world No.2 golfer revealed the pair celebrated their nuptials with a small Bahamas ceremony on April 17th, the Thursday after the Masters.
There was no official engagement, instead the couple decided to just leap right into wedded bliss.
Only a few friends and family were on hand as they celebrated their union at Scott’s Bahamas residence.
“It’s official. I am a settled down man and very happy,” Scott told AAP.
“We just decided to get on with it, we’ve known each other long enough, let’s go and jump right in the deep end.
“It was just our family and a few friends and obviously there are a lot of people we would have liked to have had there who weren’t but we decided to have a very low key affair.
“It was more about not building it up into something too big that may have gotten out of hand but it was a fun event for everyone who was there and hopefully we will have fun celebrating with other friends when we catch up with them.”
Kojzar, who dated the 33-year-old Scott long term in the early to mid 2000s before a split of a few years, reunited with the Queenslander before he claimed the Masters in 2013.
Scott revealed post victory he was back together with the 32-year-old Swedish architect and now has taken the relationship to the highest level.
According to Scott the bride wore a ‘non-traditional’ dress while he wore a suit with bow tie.
“She doesn’t need a traditional wedding dress to look so beautiful. We dressed up a little bit but it was still in the backyard,” he smiled.
