Proteas bowl first in final one-dayer

South Africa have won the toss and have chosen to bowl first in the third and final one-day cricket international against New Zealand in Auckland on Saturday.

The Proteas have made three changes to the side that took a series-clinching 2-0 lead in Napier on Wednesday.

Sitting out are allrounder Jacques Kallis and batsman Justin Ontong with back and ankle injuries, while skipper AB de Villiers says fast bowler Morne Morkel is being rested after shouldering a heavy workload.

They are replaced by Wayne Parnell, Johan Botha and Marchant de Lange.

New Zealand have also made three changes, with left-arm pace bowler Michael Bates and all-rounders Nathan McCullum and Colin de Grandhomme included, de Grandhomme for his ODI debut.

They come in for pace bowler Tim Southee, leg-spinner Tarun Nethula and batsman Jesse Ryder.

Ryder, along with Doug Bracewell, was not considered for the match after the pair were reprimanded for breaching team protocols by drinking while recovering from injuries.
