Rain halts play at SCG again in Shield

Rain has again halted play at the SCG in the Sheffield Shield match between NSW and Queensland, with players unable to come out after lunch.

When play resumes, Queensland will be eager for quick runs as they set about chasing down NSW’s total of 269 to grab first innings points.

The Blues, who started the day at 4-207, crumbled under a fantastic spell of fast bowling from Queensland quick Steve Magoffin, who finished with 6-44.

Rain delayed the start of play on day three on Saturday, and caused day two to be abandoned without a ball being bowled.
