Titans Prince and Champion to play

Gold Coast have received a huge boost for Friday night’s NRL clash with the Bulldogs with Titans stars Scott Prince and Beau Champion both cleared to play.

Prince (biceps) and Champion (hamstring) passed fitness tests at training on Thursday morning, much to the delight of coach John Cartwright who will reshuffle his backline to accommodate the pair’s return.

Their late inclusion allows Cartwright the chance to field a near full-strength line-up against the in-form Bulldogs, who smashed hapless Parramatta 46-12 last round.

“Princey got through it (training) and I doubt there’ll be any hiccups and at this stage he’ll take his place,” said Cartwright.

“If Beau pulls up ok in the morning (Friday) he’ll play as well.”

“I think it’s close to the first time they (our best players) have all been on the field together.”
