Hawks’ Lewis accepts two-match AFL ban

Hawthorn midfielder Jordan Lewis has accepted a two-match AFL ban for engaging in rough conduct against North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein.

The suspension will rule Lewis out of the Hawks’ upcoming games against Port Adelaide and the Brisbane Lions.

With the Hawks having the bye in round 13, Lewis won’t be eligible to return to action until the clash against Carlton on June 29.

The AFL tribunal will not sit on Tuesday night after all of the players cited by the match review panel in round 10 submitted early guilty pleas.

Richmond’s Jake King was suspended for one game for tripping St Kilda forward Stephen Milne.

West Coast defender Beau Waters was sidelined for one match for engaging in rough conduct against Brisbane’s Jack Redden.

Sydney midfielder Ben McGlynn and Adelaide onballer Bernie Vince have also been banned for one game for striking offences.

Essendon ruck-forward Paddy Ryder accepted a reprimand and 66 carryover points for tripping Melbourne’s Dan Nicholson.

And Fremantle tagger Ryan Crowley was reprimanded for staging in the second quarter of Saturday’s clash against the Crows.
