Canberra Raiders NRL player Jack Wighton has pleaded guilty to assault and public urination from a night out in February.
Wighton last appeared in ACT Magistrates Court in April, where he pleaded not guilty to all nine charges against him.
But facing court again on Thursday, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one of public urination from an incident in Canberra’s CBD on February 3.
The other charges were withdrawn.
The case will be back in court on July 6.
The fullback has played for the Raiders since his last court appearance, but it’s unclear if he will line up in Saturday night’s crucial NRL game against Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium.
The club is expected to comment later on Thursday.
