Hawthorn and West Coast well supported in 2012 AFL Finals week 1

Punters have continued to back the Hawks and Eagles like they are good things, with individual bets of $15,000 at $1.31 placed on Hawthorn and $12,000 at $1.26 on West Coast yesterday with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.

These two teams have easily attracted the most interest from punters, with more money bet on Hawthorn than any other team. In terms of the ratio of money between the Eagles and Kangaroos, it is nine to one.

AFL Odds

Collingwood have drifted slightly again from $3.40 to $3.60 after opening at $2.85, while North Melbourne have also moved from $4.00 to $4.25.

“While there has been almost the same number of bets on Collingwood than Hawthorn, all the money has been on the Hawks and their odds have been crunched even further now into $1.30 after opening at $1.41,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

AFL Tips

“There has virtually been no interest in the Kangaroos and it has been all one way traffic with the Eagles being the only one they want to be on.”
