Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor won the toss and elected to bowl in the second one-day international against New Zealand at Cobham Oval on Monday.
A shower of rain swept across the field just after the toss was taken and with the prospect of further rain during the day Taylor said the Duckworth-Lewis adjustment could be important in a rain-shortened match.
New Zealand lead the three-match series 1-0 after their comprehensive 90-run victory in the opening encounter in Dunedin on Friday.
Zimbabwe have made one change from that side with Prosper Utseya replacing Keegan Meth while New Zealand have included debutant Tarun Nethula giving the hosts a leg-spinner for the first time in 10 years.
