High-profile Fremantle recruit Jesse Hogan has been ruled out of the Dockers’ AFL season opener as he manages clinical anxiety.

Fremantle’s football manager Peter Bell said Hogan didn’t take part in the club’s training session on Sunday after drinking on Saturday night.

“Jesse continues to train very hard on the training track and he will continue to train with the team, but his clinical anxiety can lead to him making poor decisions around alcohol consumption and, therefore, impact his health and well-being,” Bell said.
