* Man of the Round: Making his first appearance of the season, Tom Trbojevic scored two tries, set up two more, ran for 160 metres, busted eight tackles and broke the line three times in Manly’s 46-12 rout of the Warriors in Christchurch.

* Stat that Matters: Melbourne captain Cameron Smith became the second player to score 2400 points after breaking the barrier in his side’s 32-2 defeat of Penrith.

* Magic Moment: Corey Norman’s last-gasp field goal gave St George Illawarra a drought-breaking one-point win over Brisbane.
