Moses signs three-year Eels NRL extension

Parramatta have laid another plank in their long-term NRL future after re-signing halfback Mitchell Moses for another three years.

Moses was linked with a number of rival clubs in recent weeks but opted to stay with the Eels until the end of the 2022 season.

Parramatta announced the deal an hour before Saturday’s round-13 clash with Cronulla at PointsBet Stadium.

“Pleased this is sorted out, got it done,” Moses told Fox Sports.

“But we’ve got a job to do here tonight against Cronulla and need to get back-to-back wins, so that’s our focus.”

Moses, 24, has been one of the Eels best over the first third of the campaign, steering the team to eighth spot with 15 try assists.

His recommitment follows extensions handed to coach Brad Arthur and skipper Clint Gutherson over the past month.

Front-rower Junior Paulo is the only other player with a contract until 2022.

It also ties down their spine of Dylan Brown, Reed Mahoney, Gutherson and Moses for at least another 12 months.

The Eels still have a number of first-choice players off-contract, including Michael Jennings, Manu Ma’u and Tepai Moeroa.

Veteran Tim Mannah is also without a deal come November, but has been unable to crack the top-17 for the past two games.
