West Coast’s Rioli, Vardy offered AFL bans

West Coast duo Willie Rioli and Nathan Vardy have each been offered one-game AFL suspensions for incidents in their heavy loss to Sydney.

Rioli was charged with rough conduct for his sling tackle that knocked out Colin O’Riordan at the SCG, while Vardy received the same charge for a high bump on Jackson Thurlow that prematurely ended the Swans defender’s game.

Gold Coast’s Jack Martin was not sanctioned for his bump on North Melbourne skipper Jack Ziebell but was fined $1000 for engaging in a melee.
