Millman charges into Wimbledon third round

Impenetrable on serve, John Millman has matched his career-best run to the Wimbledon third round with a commanding win over Serbian seed Laslo Djere.

Millman routed Djere, the 31st seed, 6-3 6-2 6-2 on Thursday to book a showdown with big-serving American giant-killer Sam Querrey.

Keen to prove his stunning win over Roger Federer in New York was no fluke, the US Open quarter-finalist has yet to drop serve this campaign.

The Australian has faced only one break point in 25 service games.

But serving is likely to be key on Saturday.

Querrey famously ousted defending champions Novak Djojkovic and Andy Murray in successive years in 2016 and 2017 and has already eliminated world No.4 Dominic Thiem this week.
