Jockey Damien Oliver will miss the Group One Sir Rupert Clarke meeting at Caulfield after being suspended on a careless riding charge at Flemington.
Oliver was suspended for his ride on King Of Leogrance in the Very Special Kids Win and Pin Plate on Saturday.
The suspension commences after a book of nine rides at Geelong on Sunday with Oliver returning on September 26, in time for the Group One Moir Stakes meeting at The Valley the following night.
Jye McNeil, who won the final race, the Vale Russell Cameron Handicap aboard Mosh Music, was suspended for 12 meetings on a mid-range careless riding charge.
As McNeil was suspended for eight meetings at Bendigo on Wednesday and with Racing Victoria stewards not wanting the suspension to be seen as excessive, they reduced the ban to seven meetings.
McNeil’s suspension commences immediately, returning for the Group One Underwood Stakes meeting at Caulfield on September 29.
