For the second straight year, the A-League season gets underway with Adelaide against Sydney at Coopers Stadium.
12 months ago we saw them play out a 1-1 draw, although both sides would love to take three points out of this one.
Sydney has definitely strengthened this offseason and the acquisition of Kosta Barbarouses could prove to be a shrewd pickup by Steve Corica, giving the side another goal scoring option aside from Adam Le Fondre.
Adelaide on the other hand will give Gertjan Verbeek his first league match at home and they will be hoping for plenty of goals from big signing Kristian Opseth and FFA Cup breakout star Al Hassan Toure.
With both sides having big questions at the back it seems like both teams to score is a good starting point for a same game multi and as for the result, well a draw sure seems like the outcome as Adelaide gets out to a fast start and Sydney pulls them back.
