A TAB punter has placed $224,000 at $1.07 on Melbourne to account for Gold Coast ($8.50) in their NRL Round 10 clash at Sunshine Coast Stadium beginning 6pm AEST.
The TAB customer in question will make a profit of $15,680 if the Storm beat the Titans for the fifth successive time.
The $224,000 wager on Melbourne is the biggest bet on an NRL game with TAB since a bet of $200,000 at $1.10 was placed on the Sydney Roosters to defeat Canterbury in Round 5 this season at Bankwest Stadium, which the Roosters won 42-6.
In Round 23 last season, one TAB punter wagered $200,000 at $1.05 on the Storm to account for the Titans at AAMI Park and Melbourne prevailed 24-8.
