As expected, Richaun Holmes has won the Centre spot in Sacramento and been outstanding in the last couple of games with greater opportunity.

Holmes played 24 minutes in the first three games of the season with Luke Walton splitting centre minutes between him, Hassan Whiteside and Marvin Bagley when they go small – as a result, Holmes averaged 8.3 points per game.

But the last two games we’ve seen Whiteside’s minutes disappear with Holmes’ jumping up to 32 and 36 minutes, leading to an increase in his offensive output. Holmes had 20 points in their win against the Nuggets, and in his last game against the Rockets Holmes finished with 22 points from 13 shot attempts.

Sacramento face the Rockets again in this one in what should be another high scoring affair, and there’s no reason why we can’t see Richaun Holmes finish with 15 points coming off back-to-back 20 point games.
