Together on the second leg of a back-to-back, the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks will face off at American Airlines Center on Saturday night. Dallas played in San Antonio yesterday, winning 122-117 behind Luka Doncic’s 36 points and 11 assists. Doncic (33 points, 16 rebounds) was similarly dominant during the Mavericks’ 113-100 victory in the first game of this season series. Meanwhile, Houston won 103-102 at Detroit despite the absences of John Wall and Christian Wood (both out). Dallas was still without Josh Richardson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell yesterday and it remains unclear whether any of those names will return. Additionally, Kristaps Porzingis, who has averaged 32.3 points and 13.7 rebounds from his last three appearances against Houston, may be in some doubt due to load management.
