There will be a great atmosphere down at the Cattery as the Geelong faithful return to Kardinia Park for their Sunday arvo clash against North.
The two sides did meet in Round 6 last season when the Kangaroos easily accounted for the Cats by 46 points.
After finding themselves ahead at half-time, it turned into a horror show for the Cats after their star 2018 number 1 draft pick Nina Morrison tore another ACL.
Morrison is on the comeback trial and will hopefully line up for the Cats this Saturday.
Since North Melbourne joined the League in 2019, they’ve been somewhat cursed.
The controversial conference system denied them a finals spot in 2019 and in 2020, North went on a six game winning streak, qualified for the Preliminary Final only to have COVID19 shut down the season.
North Melbourne will be wanting to pick up where they left off in 2021.
The squad remains relatively stable and new coach Darren Crocker will be looking to take them to the promised land.
