The Phoenix have stood up to the test to start the season as they currently find themselves an even 4-4 on the ladder, a respectable record after facing the Wildcats on four occasions so far.

This weekend’s clash against Brisbane, however, shapes up to be much more to South East Melbourne’s liking.

Despite an impressive bounce-back win over the 36ers last week, it’s hard to get too excited about the Bullets and their complete lack of shooting.

You might have heard, but Brisbane is currently shooting below 30% from three and just 44% from the field – two worrying stats as the Bullets look ahead to a very tough stretch of schedule.

The Phoenix have won two of their three meetings against the Bullets since joining the competition, and it’s safe to say they’ll probably be adding to that record on Sunday.

Brisbane’s complete lack of depth puts them at a serious disadvantage, while the Phoenix should have a lot less to worry about defensively with the Bullets lacking much of a punch.
