See You In Spring may have been a late starter to racing but when she did commence her career, she showed a sign of maturity immediately.
A veteran of only three starts, See You In Spring had those three runs all in the space of less than a month and in three different states.
After a brief break, the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained filly is set to kick off her spring campaign in the Group 3 Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday.
See You In Spring scored a debut win at Cranbourne on April 16 and then 15 days popped up to win a Listed race over 1050m at Morphettville on May 1.
To continue on with the campaign, Busuttin and Young travelled the daughter of French-bred sire Siyouni to Brisbane for the Group 2 Spirit Of Boom Classic (1200m) in which See You In Spring finished sixth behind Prince Of Boom.
See You In Spring was geared up for her spring return with a Cranbourne trial victory on Monday.
Busuttin said See You In Spring had returned from her interstate sojourns and break in excellent order.
And Busuttin said See You In Spring was a short-coupled filly that had a bit of strength about her and shapes as the ideal sprinting type.
“She’ll present a bit pretty as the race has come up a bit quick, but it suits her,” Busuttin said.
“I would say she’s a 1000, 1100, 1200-metre horse top so it looks an ideal race for her.
“Looking at the race, it’s a pretty hot field. She’s up against some pretty well credentialled fillies which hold Sydney and Melbourne two-year-old autumn form.
“But the way she is going, I’m she’ll put herself in the race.”
