Race 1 – 6:15pm – Entry Education Plate (1600m)

This is a tricky way to start the meeting and this isn’t a race that I want to get too heavily involved in.

Alverdun has performed fairly without winning during his career to date and he has improved each time that he has been seen at the races.

The Dundeel gelding does possess good early speed and Daniel Moor will be able to ride him aggressively in the early stages of the race.

He will give his rivals something to chase at a nice price.

Race 2 – 6:45pm – Front Runner Membership Handicap (1600m)

Perfect World returned to the races with a dominant win at Ballarat and she looks to have gone to another level this campaign.

The way that she put away her rivals at Ballarat was very impressive and she is a mare that generally improves the further she gets into her campaign.

I don’t think she needs to settle as far back in the run as she did last start and with even luck in running she will prove tough to beat.

Race 3 – 7:15pm – Greyhound Melb Cup Fri Nov 26 Handicap (1200m)

This is a very interesting race and there are a number of horses in this field that have plenty of upside.

Kuna Magic appeals at her current quote of $9.

She won in impressive fashion on debut at Sapphire Coast and she finished a gallant third behind Passionate Lass at The Valley.

It has been a long time between race starts and that is the gamble, but I am willing to take the $9 available for a mare with her upside.

Race 4 – 7:45pm – HeartKids Hero Handicap (2500m)

Chains Of Honour is a consistent stayer and this looks like the perfect race for him.

He has been racing well without winning this campaign and this race is a genuine drop in quality.

Josh Richards can settle him just behind the speed in the early stages of this contest and he will have every possible chance to return to winning form.

Race 5 – 8:15pm – Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 5 (955m)

This is one of the most open races of the night and there are a host of winning chances.

Fast ‘N’ Deep returned to the races with a credible effort at Cranbourne and did well to finish third after having no luck in running,

Barrier one is perfect for her in this contest and she has won second-up in the past.

Sweetzou is the x-factor in this field.

She isn’t the most consistent mare in the world, but she has showed some talent during her racing career to date and she is capable of a high-rating performance on her day.

Race 6 – 8:45pm – Ladbroke It! Handicap (1000m)

This is a drop in class for Super Thief and he has an excellent chance to return to winning form.

He has recorded two wins from his four race starts and he wasn’t disgraced when he finished fifth behind Profiteer in The Schweppervescence Plate.

Blaike McDougall can settle him just behind the leaders in the early stages of this contest and he will be able to pounce late.

Race 7 – 9:15pm – TOTE Bar And Dining Handicap (1600m)

You won’t see many more open races than this one and the majority of punters will be going very wide in the quaddie.

I think that luck in running will be key and Dixie Built will be the horse making his own luck right on the speed.

The So You Think gelding is racing in career best form and Teo Nugent should be able to take him to the front in the early stages of the race.

He is as tough as they come and he will give his rivals something to chase.

Bet Now: Moonee Valley Race 7

Race 8 – 9:45pm – Christmas Parties At The Valley Handicap (1200m)

Dance To Dubai returned to the races with a good win at Traralgon and it would not surprise to see her string together back-to-back wins.

She has always had plenty of potential and it looks as though the penny may have dropped for her.

The Pride Of Dubai mare has won second-up in the past and she maps to get every possible chance in the run from the inside barrier.
