Race 1 – 3:40pm – Ladbroke It! Plate (1300m)

Palatial Prince was scratched from a race at Bendigo on Sunday to instead run here, and I think that it will prove to be the correct decision.

The Xtravagant gelding showed plenty of promise on debut at Kyneton, and mustered a nice turn of foot to finish second, beaten a head.

I’m expecting plenty of improvement for that effort and he can go one better.

Race 2 – 4:15pm – Ladbrokes Switch Plate (1400m)

This is an enormous drop in class for Port Louis and he can finally break his maiden.

That being said, he is currently trading at odds of $1.30 and that is far too short for me.

Race 3 – 4:50pm – Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Handicap (1600m)

I’m going to stick with Defiant Diva in the third at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Team Corstens-trained mare has made three appearances at the races since resuming this time, filling the minors twice, including an eye-catching effort here last time out.

She looks to be nearing peak fitness and she is drawn to receive every chance this week under John Allen.

Race 4 – 5:25pm – Ladbrokes Blended Bets Handicap (1000m)

Viviane will take winning form into the fourth at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The Matty Ellerton-trained filly finished second, beaten half a length at Bendigo when resuming, and she proved far too good in maiden company last time.

This is obviously harder, but she gets into the race extremely well and will be steered by Jamie Kah.

Race 5 – 6:00pm – Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Handicap (1400m)

Selfless will take plenty of improvement into her second campaign start at Ladbrokes Park this week and can record another win.

The Redoute’s Choice mare mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to strike, albeit in weaker company at Terang when resuming.

She hasn’t been disgraced in town previously and this looks to be about her level.

Race 6 – 6:30pm – Ladbrokes Easy Form Handicap (1300m)

Pal D’oro went straight to the lead and made every post a winner here when resuming, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be able to replicate that performance on Wednesday.

The classy son of Medaglia D’oro has returned plenty of strong performances throughout his career, but, but his first-up effort this time was the best of his career to date, and it suggested that he has returned a better horse.

Johnny Allen can replicate his first-up tactics and the horse will give them something to chase.

Race 7 – 7:00pm – Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap (1500m)

This is one of the more open contests on the card and a horse like Galactic Express looks to have claims on winning.

Galactic Express has continued to improve with racing this time, and he was last seen flashing late to only just miss here at Ladbrokes Park.

He gets some relief in the weights this week under Josh Richards and it looks a great opportunity for him to strike.

Race 8 – 7:30pm – Ladbrokes Blended Multis Handicap (1800m)

I’m going to stick with Obedience in the last at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

Obedience has been a great horse for the Matt Cumani stable for a couple of seasons now, and she returned to the races with a lovely effort to win comfortably at Bendigo.

This is a rise in class, but she is a mare that typically improves with a run under her belt, and we can have something on each-way this week.
