Race 1 – 3YO Handicap (1050m)

The Tony Gollan trained Frosty Mango has a win and two second placings from three career starts during her first campaign.

I was impressed with her most recent trial win at Doomben leading into this first up assignment and she has drawn to get a nice run in transit from barrier three.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 1

Race 2 – 12:58pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap (2000m)

Shebringzit is a mare racing well right at the minute after three consecutive placings in a row including a two length win on the Sunshine Coast two back.

It took her a while to get fully wound up last start at Doomben but she meets the winner of that race, Kirkeby, better at the weights this time.

She should be plenty fit at this stage in her campaign and should be closing late in the race.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 2

Race 3 – 1:33pm – 3YO Plate (1600m)

Indiscreetly is a very talented young filly who has now won both her race starts by a combined four lengths.

The black daughter of Spills The Beans was dominant over 1400m when scoring by 2.25 lengths at Eagle Farm two weeks ago and she is one of the better bets on the entire card at Doomben on Sunday.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 3

Race 4 – 2:08pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1600m)

Michael Costa will saddle up Cracker Essgee in the fourth race of the afternoon and his consistent gelding is every chance at this level of racing.

The four year old gelding has six wins to his name from 17 career race starts as well as a further six placings including a first up third in The Gateway behind Apache Chase.

The step up to 1600m suits as does the big drop in class.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 4

Race 5 – 2:43pm – Class 3 Plate (1200m)

Mystic Aroma could not have been anymore impressive so far this prep, winning both her starts on the Sunshine Coast by a combined four lengths.

It has been the way in which she has been winning that has been so impressive and she looks like a filly that will relish the step up class at this stage in her career.

She has drawn perfectly in barrier three and with even luck she will be right in this race.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 5

Race 6 – 3:22pm – Group 3 Mclachlan Stakes (1200m)

Coolangatta is a deserving favourite in the feature race of the afternoon but is simply too short to back at the price first up from a spell.

Swiss Exile sat near last in the Phelan Ready last time out over the short course at Eagle Farm but he was doing his best work late in the race.

A similar thing can be said for Hard To Say who was savaging the line late in that race and will appreciate the step up in distance now.

The winkers go on for the first time and he is well over the odds at $51.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 6

Race 7 – 4:02pm – Listed Bernborough Plate (1600m)

Niccanova has been so consistent at this level of racing for such a long time that it is really hard to go past him in the Bernborough Plate.

He was beaten less than a length in Recognition Stakes before he was narrowly denied in the Brisbane Quality at Doomben on the heavy track last start.

He will be ready to peak at his fourth run this prep and has drawn to get a nice run in transit from barrier five.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 7

Race 8 – 4:42pm – Listed Falvelon Quality (1200m)

Baller has returned two really nice efforts so far this prep with two placings from as many starts.

He was well beaten by Zoustyle in the George Moore Stakes but he meets that horse much better at the weights and has drawn well in barrier two.

He has five wins from 11 starts at 1200m and will be nearing peak fitness now at his third run.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 8

Race 9 – 5:22pm – Class 6 Handicap (1350m)

I have a lot of time for the Tony Gollan trained mare Glitter Strip who I believe has a huge amount of natural ability and upside.

She returned to the races with a 10th at Listed level over 1200m here at Doomben but she was beaten just 2.75 lengths when doing her best work late in the race.

She gets out to a more suitable distance now and she drops 2.5kg in weight despite this being a much easier contest at class 6 level.

Bet Now: Doomben Race 9
