Race 1 – 2:30pm AEDT – Ladbroke It! Plate (1400m)

Matsukase has improved with each of his three starts since debuting, and he is ready to win when he steps out at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Maurice gelding finished fifth, beaten more than five lengths at Yarra Valley when resuming, and he has only just missed in a pair of races here in the wake.

He steps out this week in peak order and might not be offered a better opportunity.

Race 2 – 3:05pm AEDT – Ladbrokes Switch Handicap (1300m)

Morean looks to have plenty of ability, and she can continue her rise through the grades at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Divine Prophet filly stamped herself as one to watch with a smart win on debut at Sale, and she kept on well to the line to fill the minors in BM64 company last time.

Fitter third-up and with Jamie Kah back in the saddle, she can win again.

Race 3 – 3:40pm AEDT – Ladbrokes Blended Bets Handicap (3000m)

Furioso looks tough to beat at Ladbrokes Park this week.

The Matt Cumani-trained gelding didn’t show a lot at Pakenham when resuming in January, but he has improved noticeably with each of his last two starts, and he finished off well to fill the minors at Ballarat last time.

Getting out to 3000m at this point of his preparation looks ideal and with even luck, I think this is his race.

Race 4 – 4:15pm AEDT – Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Handicap (1400m)

This is an excellent race, but I am confident that Logan Street Lion can continue his winning run of form.

The Tavistock gelding finished second, beaten less than a length here at Ladbrokes Park when resuming and hasn’t taken a backwards step, winning each of his last two in impressive fashion.

He steps out this week following a freshen-up, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.

Race 5 – 4:50pm AEDT – 50 Year Life Member – John Collins (1000m)

This looks the perfect race for Dancelittlesister.

Dancelittlesister kept her best work for late when second, beaten a length by Joselin at The Valley when resuming, and she only just missed behind Tycoon Humma here last time out.

Fitter third-up and with an edge over her leading rivals, she is my best bet of the day.

Race 6 – 5:25pm AEDT – 50 Year Life Member – Gerald Heaslip (1800m)

Ocean Chief rates as a key winning chance in the sixth at Ladbrokes Park this week.

The Ocean Park gelding has had his runs spaced this year, but it has paid dividends, and has delivered wins at each of his last three starts. He steps out this week three weeks between starts and with even luck, he can win again.

Race 7 – 6:00pm AEDT – 50 Year Life Member – Anthony Lloyd (1500m)

The consistent Lunares will go around in the penultimate race at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, and he rates as a key winning chance.

The Akeed Mofeed mare won each of her first two starts back this time, and she hasn’t been far away from the winner in her three subsequent appearances.

She’s rock-hard fit, get into this race well under the conditions and with even luck, she can return to winning form.

Race 8 – 6:30pm AEDT – 50 Year Life Member – Michael Scarcella (1300m)

Lafargue strikes another winnable race at Ladbrokes Park this week.

The Capitalist gelding has improved with each of his three starts back this time, culminating in a dominant win at Echuca last time out. This is harder, but it’s very difficult to ignore how dominant he was last time, and he can continue his rise through the grades
