Race 1 – Highway Handicap (1400m)
Bootscooter put together two wins at Scone and Newcastle which earned the three year old filly a trip to town last time out.
She was beaten less than a length in that Highway race at Randwick over 1500m and the step back in distance will suit.
Race 2 – Benchmark 72 Handicap (1600m)
Indifference has won both his starts so far this prep in impressive fashion.
He won by four lengths at Goulburn before getting the job done by half a length at Newcastle.
This event presents a stiffer challenge but he is a progressive type who can again improve enough to win.
Race 3 – Benchmark 72 Handicap (1100m)
The Kim Waugh trained Conrad has not been seen at the races since running 12th in The Four Pillars at Rosehill back in October.
The three year old gelding has been placed in four of six overall and he’s had the benefit of two nice trials recently heading into this first up assignment.
He’s ready to win fresh.
Race 4 – Benchmark 72 Handicap (1300m)
Pretty Wild could not have been much more impressive when winning on debut by 2.7 lengths at Warwick Farm over 1200m.
The Chris Waller trained three year old filly made up plenty of ground in the straight and had her rivals covered a long way out.
This is a sharp step up in grade but she is the horse to beat.
Race 5 – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1800m)
Four year old mare Niffler is yet to miss a place from nine career starts which has included four wins.
The daughter of Tavistock was a dominant winner at Rosehill before finishing second last time out but she again steps up in distance which will suit.
She drawn well and the apprentice will gives some weight relief.
Race 6 – Benchmark 90 Handicap (2600m)
Bonny Ezra has been racing very consistently right throughout this campaign and has placed in his last five straight.
Was only narrowly beaten in the Listed Winter Cup last time out when stepping up considerably in grade and he looks well placed in this event.
Race 7 – Benchmark 88 Handicap (1800m)
Francesco Guardi proved he has a fair amount of natural ability when he beat a pretty dtrong class 6 field at Eagle Farm when favourite last start.
The son of Frankel won his only start here at Royal Randwick and he should be ready to peak at his third run this prep.
Race 8 – Listed Civic Stakes (1400m)
Taksu was a big winner when last seen at Randwick back in April when scoring by almost five lengths on a heavy 10 as a short priced favourite.
That earned him a trip to Queensland for his next start where he finished within 2.8 lengths of Soxagon in the Group 3 BRC Sprint.
The form out of that race has held up with Alligator Blood, who ran second in that event, coming out and winning the Group 1 Stradbroke.
He’s drawn perfectly in barrier three and represents good each way value.
Race 9 – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1100m)
Snowzone was a comfortable winner at Gatton as favourite two back in open class before narrowly missing at Randwick last time out.
The 1100m suits and the apprentice gives some weight relief.
Conscript has not been seen at the races since January but the four year old gelding has been placed in nine of 13 career starts.
Both his his trials leading into this first up assignment have been good and he looks wlel placed in this event.
Race 10 – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m)
Sinba is clearly a very talented young gelding and he proved this by winning with a leg in the air by over five lengths at Doomben as favourite first up.
He was no match for them in both the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas and Group 1 Randwick Guineas to end his autumn campaign and connections are going to work him through the grades this campaign.
He has a class edge on these on exposed form.
