The Penrith Panthers, two-time reigning premiers, will commence their title defence by welcoming the Brisbane Broncos to BlueBet Stadium on Friday night. Despite suffering a heartbreaking golden point loss to St. Helens in the World Club Challenge, the Panthers are eager to continue where they left off last year and clinch their third consecutive flag.

After enduring two disappointing seasons, including their first-ever wooden spoon, the Broncos made a strong comeback in 2022. Although they spent most of the year in the top eight, a late-season slump saw them miss the finals once again.
