We are back to the provincials for the middle of the stand-alone Saturdays as it is the Central Coast’s chance to shine for The Coast meeting.
Nominations for that $500,000 mile feature race has some strong 4yos taking on a couple of the lovely 3yo fillies.
Loch Eagle ($8) and Kayobi ($11) come out of the Provincial-Midway Championships Final and will clash with recent winners like I’Ve Bean Tryin’ ($15), Money From The Sky ($15) and Palmetto ($8). Razeta ($11) and Pretty Amazing ($11) add more interest.
The Listed Gosford Gold Cup (2100m) gives the stayers a chance for good prizemoney and Diamil ($8) along with New Mandate ($3.50) have strong group successes of late.
Protagonist ($11) is now with Kris Lees and will hope for another carnival win while Great House ($11) attempts to go one better than last year.
The day’s big sprint is the Listed Takeover Target Stakes (1200m) honouring the former champ. Can the 3yo Fashion Legend ($8) return in great fashion himself or will it be the older guard like Malkovich ($11) and Shades Of Rose ($6) for Bjorn Baker?
Strong city class benchmark racing highlights the rest of the ten race card.
