Port Adelaide continued on their winning ways in season 2023 but they had to do it the hard way against Essendon last week.
A Dan Houston after the siren goal secured their 13th win of the season and they have all but locked up a top two spot come September.
On the flip side, the Gold Coast Suns had a real opportunity against Collingwood at home last weekend, a test they failed miserably.
I’ve heard a lot of doom and gloom about the suns after the loss but there is no shame in losing to a team that is regarded by many as the benchmark.
It does however highlight just how far off the pace they are.
