A lot has transpired both in the NFL and in the world as a whole since the last time the Denver Broncos beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

It was a Thursday Night Football matchup in September 2015 where Denver scored two touchdowns in the final minute, including a fumble recovery for the game winning score by the Broncos defence with 27 seconds left.

That streak predates the Patrick Mahomes era in Kansas City that has yielded a whole lot of success including an 11-0 record as a starter.

Mahomes has thrown for 300 yards against the Broncos in six of those 11 games but he might be up against it a bit this week with Travis Kelce under an injury cloud and the short week won’t help.

I’ll steer clear of the Kelce markets because of his injury status, but Mahomes should still be able to find the right option to reach 250 yards in a Chiefs win with a bit of help on the ground from Isiah Pacheco.
