Finally off the mark in 2023, the Bears are now in a great position to go back to back when they take on the injury depleted Vikings.

Even before Justin Jefferson was sent to IR with a hamstring injury, the Vikings were not exactly setting the world alight with the offence yet to play a clean game and a suspect defence struggling to make a stop.

Chicago might have found something with the Justin Fields to DJ Moore connection and as long as the Bears can keep Fields upright, that duo should link up for another big day.

If that wasn’t enough, losing arguably the game’s best receiver in Jefferson doesn’t bode well for the Vikings fortunes and their ability to move the ball.

On the season, Jefferson has accounted for 26% of the Vikings targets, over 38% of Vikings total receiving yards and over 30% of their entire offensive output.

It feels odd to say the Bears are going to win a game but with the extra few days of rest and the Vikings absences, that looks like the way this game is heading.
