Craig Williams back aboard Charlotte Littlefield-trained filly

Things do not go to plan with Modown in Saturday’s Group 2 Sandown Guineas, but Craig Williams has now turned his attention to another promising Charlotte Littlefield-trained three-year-old this Wednesday at Sandown.

The star jockey will partner Shooting To Win filly She’s Bulletproof in the Ladbrokes Owner Incentive Scheme 3YO Maiden Plate (1200m) that kicks off the card.

Williams rode She’s Bulletproof on debut, when she beat home all bar Godolphin speedster Jambalaya at The Valley on November 17, and he said she is destined for better races than she is down to contest this week.

“She’s a really, really nice filly and she is showing every indication that she is a Stakes class filly,” Williams said.

“It’s easy for me to do the talking, she has to do the running, but she’s got very good ability.

“She’s got a great attitude, she’s a really good style of a filly. She’s strong and she’s got good body on her.

“She ticks all the boxes and it’s about getting the best out of her.”

She’s Bulletproof has drawn barrier six in the field of 12 at Sandown and Williams expects her to be better-suited on the bigger circuit than The Valley, where she came from midfield and three-wide around the turn to run Jambalaya to 1-1/2 lengths.

“I was very, very pleased with her performance with the way the race was run and with the rail out wide,” Williams said.

“They’ve said she has trained on well and she’s going to Sandown, which will be a lot fairer track for her.”

The Sandown meeting will be conducted four days after the Caulfield card that contained the Sandown Guineas, in which Modown failed to beat home a rival, which Williams blamed on the persistent rain that had the track in the Soft 7 range at the time of the Guineas.
