It’s a rare sight to see the Cats lose a game at their Kardinia Park fortress, but two in a row… well that’s unheard of.

It’s also four losses on the trot for the Cats, and for all the hard work they did at the start to go seven unbeaten, they now sit in the cluster of top eight spot fighters.

Richmond was valiant against the Tigers in their Dreamtime battle against the Dons but just lacked class in defensive transition to shut down the Bombers on turnover.

It’s not often the Tigers get to travel to the Cattery, and without a win since 2006, it’s hard to see the tide turning in this one.

The Cats have dug themselves into a hole in their previous two clashes and their lack of defensive accountability in transition has been poor, opening up the door for roving forwards.

Whilst that’s an issue, their forward movement is hard to shut down at GMHBA, and they’re able to execute the switch of angles well, which is where the Tigers need to be most alert in.

Richmond got a retro Dusty performance last week, but if they’re hard to come by at this stage of his career, someone else needs to stand up this week to give them a sniff.

The Tigers lack of efficiency inside 50 could change at a narrow ground, but the lack of midfield depth will narrow their chances of staying in touch throughout the game.
