Without a doubt the biggest game of the round with a lot on the line for either side, this is a genuine eight-pointer.

The first clash between the two sides may have been one of the best games of the year, a high-scoring affair that was all systems go through the corridor.

The Blues were hurt by their inefficiency in front of goals, and when the Cats started to convert, the game got away from them quickly despite their late comeback.

That was two months ago when the Cats were undefeated, but things have changed since then, with the Blues jumping them on the ladder and the Cats struggling to regain some momentum.

Second time around, the Blues will look to be a lot more switched on with their defensive transition, and if they’re able to limit Geelong’s use of the corridor, they’re more than likely to reduce them to a score under 80.

For the Cats, they need to reduce the Blues impact with open play going inside 50, and limit a lack of production from their smaller forwards and roving midfielders.

It will be a shootout from both sides in the key forward department, so a contest like this has previously been decided by the input of the midfield group moving forward up the ground.

Expect speed and dare from both sides, but with the recent change of form, a Carlton home crowd, they should be able to get it done and fix their mistakes from the first time around.
