Parramatta Eels vs St. George Illawarra Dragons Preview
St George Illawarra holds eighth place, but their first finals spot since 2018 is on shaky ground. With a tough final-round matchup against Canberra and a poor point differential, this game against second-last Parramatta is a must-win.
The Dragons have alternated wins and losses since Round 14, most recently suffering a 38-10 defeat to the Sharks, following a solid 32-16 victory over the Titans. Defensive lapses have plagued them, especially in second halves.
Parramatta has only one win in their last 10 games, giving up an early lead in a 30-24 loss to the Broncos last week. They’ve conceded 30 or more points in six of their last eight games and haven’t kept a team under 20 points since Round 4.
Both teams have minor changes: Luca Moretti joins the Eels’ bench, and Raymond Faitala-Mariner replaces Lyhkan King-Tongia for the Dragons. Despite their inconsistent season, the Dragons have a chance, with the Eels on a four-game losing streak at home.
Head To Head Bet
We're tipping St. George Illawarra Dragons to win at $1.60 odds.
