Broncos name Origin stars to play Warriors

Brisbane have named Justin Hodges for Sunday’s NRL clash with the Warriors in Auckland but will make a call on his availability following State of Origin.

Hodges was rested after last year’s Origin games but the Broncos believe the four days recovery after Wednesday’s second game in Brisbane will give the Queensland centre enough time to back up.

All of the Broncos Origin stars have been named to take on the Warriors with Sam Thaiday, Matt Gillett and Corey Parker also named by coach Anthony Griffin on Tuesday.

Griffin has stuck with the same squad which defeated Wests Tigers 32-12 in the club’s last outing before last weekend’s bye.

Broncos: Corey Norman, Josh Hoffman, Jack Reed, Justin Hodges, Lachlan Maranta, Scott Prince, Peter Wallace, Ben Hannant, Andrew McCullough, Sam Thaiday, Alex Glenn, Matt Gillett, Corey Parker. Interchange: Ben Hunt, Josh McGuire, David Hala, Mitchell Dodds, Jarrod Wallace, Dunamis Lui (two to be omitted).
