Racing in Sydney will head to Rosehill on Saturday for an eight race meeting which includes some good sized quality fields for punters who want to bet outside of Melbourne which will take the spotlight for the day with Derby Day being run.

The weather is forecast to be good and the current track condition is a Good 3 so we will be racing in perfect conditions come race time.

Race One: West Tradies/ Cfmeu (bm80) 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: White Sage has had two career starts for two very good victories by big margins. He looks very well placed in this race and should be making it three straight victories although punters won’t be getting any value with his odds currently being $1.50.
Big Danger: Gamba has a very good winning record including four wins over the distance from five tries which shows she will be very hard to beat on Saturday. I am not sure she has the ability to beat the favourite but the two look a good quinella proposition in the race.
Roughie: Campania was contesting some very good form races last preparation and this race looks a lot easier for her. she will be first up after a break and at the $41 in betting i think she is a very good place chance in the race.

Race Two: Cfmeu Mining & Energy Plate 1100m Form Guide

Back Me: Double Happy jumped awkwardly last start and lost a length or two before going back and finding trouble in the run. He has drawn a wide barrier but he is likely to go back in the run anyways so that doesnt concern me too much here. There looks to be good speed in the race which will allow him to sit off the pace and hit the line well. He is a $4.20 chance in betting which probably doesn’t offer much value but i think he is definitely the horse to beat.
Big Danger: Time For War showed good speed in his trial which was won in a quick time. He has drawn barrier 4 which will allow him to jump quickly and take a forward position which can be a winning advantage in these two year old races with big fields as some will find trouble back in the field. Looks to be massive odds at $21 in betting.
Roughie: Misty Lights i thought was very good in her only trial when she ran on well after being hard held for most of it. She has drawn barrier 1 which is always an advantage as long as she can get out quickly. She is $11 in betting and i expect her to be specked come race time and start shorter.

Race Three: Amwu – National (bm73) 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Koroibete is coming off a long spell. He had just the two career starts as a two year old in which He won one and placed on the other occasion. His win was very good i thought and when placing on debut there were excuses with the track on that day being a heavy. He has had the one trial this preparation which he won easily and i think he will be firing first up on Saturday at very good odds of $9.
Big Danger: Polarmore was massive in winning last start when travelling wide throughout and was still able to win by a good margin on the line. There are good raps on this galloper and we will see how good he is on Saturday where he will start as the favourite.
Roughie: Zocalos has shown a lot of early speed in his races and this looks to be a race in which he could get quite an easy lead throughout. He will go to the front and if he is able to dictate the race than he will be hard to run down at massive odds of $21.

Race Four: Lidoran Group Spring Flying 1100m Form Guide

Back Me: Hidden Warrior i thought put in a big run last start where he sat on the speed in a quickly run race and was only beaten a length on the line. I think they will take more of a sit with him on Saturday as there lookgs to be good speed in the race and he will show his class late. He is $4.20 in betting in what looks to be a very even race.
Big Danger: Pampelonne is a lightly raced galloper who’s first up record is very good having won three from four first up. He gets a 3kg claim which puts him into the weights very well in the race and in a race that there looks to be good early speed he will be able to go back and will be hitting the line hard late.
Roughie: Black Magic did the donkey work last start bringing the field to the leaders so he was entitled to be tired towards the later stages of the race which is why he was beaten the margin he was. He has drawn barrier one which will give him every opportunity in the race and on his day he is right in this at double figure odds.

Race Five: Blacktown Workers Club (bm85) 1800m Form Guide

Back Me: Sindarin jumped poorly then copped trouble throughout so i am happy to put a line through her run last time out. She is a very talented horse on her day which she showed last preparation competing in some very good races. He second up record is very good and she has won her only start over the distance. She is currently a $21 chance in betting and i think she is a massive chance in the race so that represents very good value.
Big Danger: Index Linked missed the jump last start by a few lengths but showed he has plenty of ability by still winning the race. If he can jump with them on Saturday he will be very hard to beat. He has a good record at the track and will likely start as a short priced favourite come race time and his record at Rosehill suggests he will be in the finish as long as he gets out of the barriers well.

Race Six: Csr Bradford Solar (bm75) 1100m Form Guide

Back Me: Words Are Weapons will have to overcome a wide barrier but i still think he is the horse to beat in the race. He finds a weaker field on Saturday and he gets into the weights really well against some of these horses. If he can slot in from the barrier either going forward or back i think he will have the class to win the race at $8.
Big Danger: Kanjistar sat midfield in what was a slowly run race up front last start and he didn’t really find much late. I am happy to forgive that run as im not sure conditions and the speed suited him. He has plenty of talent and from barrier 4 he is likely to get the run of the race. He is $10 in betting and will go very close.
Roughie: Quick’s The Word is yet to be unplaced at the distance having had five starts over the 1100m for a win and four placings. He has gone very close on all three starts this preparation having been beaten less than a length in each of them. He gets the claim of John Kissick which will help his chances and i think he will go close at $12 in betting.

Race Seven: Vincents Account. Filante Hcp 1500m Form Guide

Back Me: Taxmeifyoucan had been thrown into the deep end his last two starts and despite probably not being up to that grade he finds a much more winnable race on Saturday. He gets into the weights very well with just 54kg on his back and with a bit of luck from the barrier i think he will be very hard to beat in this grade. He has been well supported into his current quote of $2.70 and i expect the money to continue to come for him.
Big Danger: Maluckyday got a long way back last start but made good ground late. He will take a lot of improvement from that run and if he can get the right tempo in this race i think he is the horse to swoop on them late and he will be hard to hold off if he does so.
Roughie: Secessio has a decent first up record which he will be on Saturday having won once and placed once from four tries. He has contested some very good races and despite the trip likely being too short for him there looks to be decent speed in the race which will allow him to hit the line strongly at his current quote of $18.

Race Eight: Turner Freeman Lawyers (bm75) 1400m Form Guide

Back Me: Maximilian was heavily supported last start and despite not getting the job done for the punters he wasn’t disgraced and he ran really well. He drops in grade here which will suit him and he will be very hard to beat if he can get a good run throughout from the wide barrier. He has won over the distance before and on his last two starts he is ready to break through meaning the $6 being bet for him at the moment is very good value.
Big Danger: Specific Choice ran well in a trial heading into this race and his first up record suggests he will go very close in this race having one win and a second from two first up starts. He has shown he likes the Rosehill track and the barrier shouldn’t be an issue with his racing pattern of going back in the run.
Roughie: Calvo was racing in some quality races last preparation in which he was quite competitive in. This looks an easier race and with the 3kg claim he gets into the weights well. He has drawn barrier 7 so will get a decent run throughout and at $12 i think he has to be included in all your bets.
