Market leaders Unencumbered and Invisible have fared well in the barrier draw for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Unencumbered came up with barrier three while Invisible drew seven in Tuesday’s draw for the summer’s richest race which attracted a capacity 16 acceptances plus five emergencies.
Trained by the Hawkes family partnership, Invisible goes to the race with just one start to his name, winning a two-year-old race at Canterbury last Saturday week.
The same day the Bjorn Baker-trained Unencumbered won his fourth race from five starts when he claimed the B J McLachlan at Doomben to cement favouritism ahead of Invisible.
Gai Waterhouse’s runners in the Classic (1200m) had mixed fortunes with Cyclone drawing the rail and former favourite Echo Gal gate 17.
Enquare, favourite for the $1 million Guineas for three-year-olds drew ideally in barrier two for the 1400m race while Group Two winner Charlie Boy was not so lucky, coming up with 16.
