Preview:
he Brisbane Heat will roll out the teal carpet for ashes hero Ryan Harris for Saturday’s must-win T20 Big Bash League match against the Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide.Harris was cleared to resume his summer of cricket after training with the Heat yesterday and will be on hand today at Allan Border Field with his Brisbane teammates as they attend the final day of the Junior Heat coaching clinic.

Harris missed all of last year’s BBL championship season by the Heat due to injury and is excited to be bowling again following the 5-0 Ashes triumph.

“I’m feeling pretty good and looking forward to stepping up my bowling again after a bit of a break,’’ he said. “It’s an important game for the Heat. I’ve been keeping a close eye on them during the BBL so far and the boys have been a bit unlucky not to win some of those close games.”

“I reckon we can finish strongly though, as we did last season.”

The Heat will finalise their squad tomorrow, with injury clouds over spinners Dan Vettori (back) and Nathan Hauritz (calf), while allrounder Dan Christian has been called into the Australian One Day International squad today and will be unavailable for Saturday’s game.
