The Adelaide Oval will be a welcome sight for the Crows this week following a tough trip to the top end.

Matthew Nicks’ side ran out of steam against the Suns in Darwin, but in many ways, they were their own worst enemies after struggling to find targets by foot.

Adelaide spent most of the fourth quarter kicking it up the line from their own back half, setting up easy rebound opportunities for the Suns to go on and score.

Now sitting on the outside of the eight looking in, a game against struggling West Coast is just what the doctor ordered.

To their credit, the Eagles hung tough with Collingwood for the first quarter and a half before things got out of hand last week in Perth.

It’s rinse and repeat at this point, but injuries and a complete lack of leadership make Adam Simpson’s coaching job almost impossible, not to mention the fact his club also struggles in front of goal.

Another ugly loss is at hand if you’re a West Coast supporter, but for the Crows, they really need to make a statement here.

Are they genuine flag contenders, or just flat-track bullies when they play at home?
