Melbourne may be set for another long year according to punters, with the Dees firming from $4.00 with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to be $2.20 favourites to claim the wooden spoon.
Luke Dunstan and Lachie Hunter now find themselves as equal $10 favourites to win the Rising Star award after firming from $26 over the weekend, while punters are tipping the Tigers will get their first win of the year this Thursday when they face Carlton.
In other betting movements since the weekend:
· Richmond v Carlton: The Tigers will get some revenge of the Blues according to the betting, with almost double the money bet on them compared to Carlton.
· Essendon v Hawthorn: Essendon’s upset win over the weekend has seen them firm from $3.30 to $2.80 against the Hawks. But punters aren’t convinced, with virtually all of the money coming for Hawthorn.

· Western Bulldogs v North Melbourne: Not a lot of love for the Bulldogs in this one, but they have firmed slightly from $3.10 to $3.00.
· Dees for spoon: Melbourne are now the favourites to win the wooden spoon after losing to St Kilda, firming from $4.00 to $2.10
· Roughead Coleman favourite: Jarryd Roughead is now the outright favourite for the Coleman after firming from $9.00 to $6.00 over the weekend. He is also now the best backed player ahead of Jack Gunston and Travis Cloke.
· Watson firms for Brownlow: His best on ground performance has seen him firm from $12 to $8.00 and is second favourite behind Ablett at $5.00.
· New Rising Star favourites: They may be set for long years, but St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs have something to look forward to, with Luke Dunstan and Lachie Hunter now equal $10 favourites to win the Rising Star award.
