Preview:
The Bombers play the Tigers on Saturday, 7.45PM at the MCG. The Bombers will be slight favourites to win here, with Essendon likely to be the fresher side
after their rest last weekend. This clash is always hard to pick though, and with the added blockbuster feel of ‘Dreamtime at the G’, both teams will be hungry for
the points. Richmond had a great win over Greater Western Sydney last week, and Jack Riewoldt’s 11 goals could give the Tigers enough momentum
to cause a slight upset.

News:
Port Adelaide are borrowing Fremantle’s ‘anytime, anywhere’ mantra as they prepare to meet AFL improvers Melbourne in Alice Springs.
Utility Robbie Gray says the venue and expected small crowd will be a stark contrast to the 50,000-strong turnouts at Port’s home ground, Adelaide Oval.
But Gray, who will play his 100th AFL match in Saturday’s fixture, says the ladder-leading Power will have no excuses not to perform.
“It will probably be a little bit different up there than playing in front of 50,000 here,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
“But we have an attitude of getting it done wherever it may be.
“The challenge this weekend will be a bit different. We have played pre-season games up there, but not for (premiership) points.
“We’re going up there concentrating on playing our game plan and trying to get the job done.”
Gray was wary of 15th-placed Melbourne, who have won three games this season under new coach Paul Roos.
“He has got them playing some really good football and they’re very good defensively. They have reduced their scores against them a fair bit this year,” he said.
“They have recruited really well and, with Roosy going there, it has changed things up a little bit. They have been a massive improver this year.”
Gray, making his AFL debut in 2007, has overcome several injury setbacks, including a knee reconstruction two years ago, to reach his century milestone.
“I have had my ups and downs through my career with injury. I’m happy to finally get there,” he said.
“I have found the program that seems to be working for me and my body … I understand my body a lot more.”
