Richmond and Dustin Martin are on the nose, with Marcus Bontempelli and the Western Bulldogs all the rage with TAB punters after Sunday’s thumping away win over the West Coast Eagles.
Bontempelli is into the shortest quote of any player all season in Brownlow Medal betting – $2.75 – after 29 touches and three goals in a win that saw the Bulldogs join Brisbane and Melbourne as joint $5 flag favourites. Geelong, which started the weekend the premiership favourite, is out to $5.50 after Thursday night’s loss to the Lions.
The Tigers are out to $9 – their longest price of the season – for the flag with Martin out to double figures ($13) in Brownlow betting for the first time this year. The 2017 winner was as short as $3.50 after a blazing start to the year.
The Rising Star market saw plenty of movement with favourites Nik Cox ($2.50 out to $3.50) and Tom Green ($3.50 out to $5) easy, while Demons pair Luke Jackson ($8 into $4.50) and James Jordon ($11 into $8) shortened, along with Cox’s Essendon teammate Harrison Jones ($17 into $11).
