For the first time since the start of Round 8, the Brisbane Lions are TAB favourites to win the 2020 AFL premiership having shortened from $5 to $3.25 after their 15-point victory over Richmond at the Gabba.
The Lions were $14 before the 2020 home-and-away season resumed and will now enjoy a week off before hosting a preliminary final.
The Tigers entered tonight’s qualifying final as the $3.25 favourites at TAB to secure back-to-back flags but are now on the third line of betting at $5.
Richmond will face the winner of tomorrow night’s elimination final between St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs in a do-or-die semi-final.
One TAB punter was left to lament Richmond’s first loss to the Brisbane Lions since 2009 after placing a $31,200 bet at $1.77 pre-game on the Tigers to defeat the Lions.
