Charlie free, Ed guilty at AFL Appeal

The AFL Appeals Board has found Carlton’s Ed Curnow guilty of making intentional contact with an umpire, overturning the tribunal decision of careless contact.

He will be sentenced in an extraordinary hearing at AFL House, putting his appearance in Sunday’s match with Melbourne in jeopardy.

His brother Charlie is free to play, with the board throwing out an appeal to change his fine for careless – rather than intentional – contact with an official.
