An undermanned Collingwood have produced a last-half surge to down Adelaide by 24 points in Tuesday night’s AFL match.

The Crows’ club-recording losing woes extend to 14 games with the Magpies prevailing 10.2 (62) to 5.8 (38) at Adelaide Oval.

Adelaide held a nine-point halftime lead but were then overpowered as the Pies booted five goals to none in a defining third term.

Forwards Jaidyn Stephenson, Darcy Cameron and Trey Ruscoe kicked two goals apiece while Taylor Adams was a midfield force with his 27 disposals including 10 clearances and five inside 50s.

Magpies stalwart Steele Sidebottom (22 touches) was also prominent around the packs and Jack Crisp (22 possessions) offered dash from defence.

The Crows were superbly served by Rory Laird who collected a game-high 37 disposals and 10 clearances, Brodie Smith (21 touches) was solid while Tyson Stengle and Elliott Himmelber both kicked two goals.

The Magpies, without injured and rested stars including captain Scott Pendlebury, Adam Treloar, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Darcy Moore and Jamie Elliott, bank a sixth win of the season and rise to seventh on the ladder.

The Crows lost 150-gamer Tom Lynch and acting captain Tom Doedee to hamtring strains while key Magpie defender Jordan Roughead was concussed.

Adelaide made the early running with a pair of Stengle goals giving them a seven-point lead at quarter-time, and they were nine up at halftime.

But the Magpies made their move in the third term, booting five straight goals with Stephenson and Ruscoe slotting two each.

Adelaide reduced the decifit to 11 points early in the last before Collingwood killed off any challenge with three consecutive goals in a five-minute span.

The Magpies next meet Melbourne in Brisbane on Saturday while the Crows play the Western Bulldogs on the Gold Coast on Sunday.
