Collingwood has a point to prove that they can be dynamic in their ability to change things under pressure.
Their task will be enhanced against a Geelong side that will look to punish the Pies on transition, where theyve been hurt the most in recent weeks.
With that being said, the Cats have been no better, and have fixed their problems slightly in the last two weeks against Essendon and Hawthorn.
So undeniably, the winner of this game will dominate in offensive output, which would be in favour of the Cats now.
The loss of Brodie Mihocek leaves a significant gap in the Pies forward line firepower, and the already lack of key forward figures makes the offensive system a difficult task.
Defensively the Pies were smashed when the Bombers lowered their eyes and sourced a different target each time, and the Cats should look to prioritise that.
Its still hard to see how the Pies shut down Jeremy Cameron if he gets going, which adds that extra bit of chaos to the Pies defensive structure.
The most potent area the Pies can get the upper hand in is the midfield, and hurting the Cats with spread and pressure at the contest will naturally get them more possession.
Defence needs to become a priority for Collingwood, or theyll fall into the same category the Cats were stuck in for a while, which seemingly theyve fixed, proving it gets results.
A loss really makes life difficult for the Pies with their run home.
