Beleaguered AFL club Adelaide has revealed captain Taylor Walker was disciplined for a mid-season drinking incident.
As post-season fallout continues at the Crows after missing the finals a year after being beaten grand finalists, the club says Walker was reprimanded for what it calls a “minor” indiscretion involving alcohol in July.
The revelation comes amid reports a group of senior Crows players including Walker confronted club hierarchy this week over their handling of a series of issues including a controversial pre-season camp.
